GoodCore CodeSphere 2.0 Concludes with Resounding Success.
The Department of Software Engineering successfully wrapped up GoodCore CodeSphere 2.0, a vibrant 7-day mega event hosted over three weeks, celebrating innovation, creativity, and collaboration across multiple domains. This year’s edition brought an exceptional blend of technical brilliance, student leadership, and community engagement.
A Multi-Domain Tech Festival
CodeSphere 2.0 featured a diverse lineup of competitions and showcases, including:
- Speed Programming Competition
- Hackathon
- Project Exhibition
- A houseful Closing Ceremony, highlighted by a fully student-created TechDrama — written, performed, and directed by Software Engineering students, and proudly produced by the Chairperson of the department.
The festival provided an immersive platform for students to explore cutting-edge ideas, work collaboratively, and push the boundaries of innovation.
Inauguration by the Vice Chancellor
A major highlight of the event was the Project Exhibition, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. M. Tufail. His presence greatly motivated the participants and added tremendous value to the event, inspiring students to pursue innovation with renewed enthusiasm.

- and many others
The presence of industry experts from leading software houses enriched the experience, creating valuable opportunities for mentorship, networking, and exposure to real-world practices.
A Year of Milestones for the Department
2025 has been a landmark year for the Department of Software Engineering, with three major successful events:
- Techletics 1.0 — A lively and well-received sports festival funded and supported by Software Engineering alumni.
- FYDP Expo (May 2025) — Showcasing outstanding final year projects that led to multiple on-spot job offers for students.
- CodeSphere 2.0 — The final event before the Fall 2025 examinations, and undoubtedly one of the most memorable.
Though only in its second edition, CodeSphere has already become one of the department’s flagship events — and it is certainly just the beginning.
Coding Competition for First Year Students.
Second Year students of the Department of Software Engineering organized a coding competition for the first year students. The faculty advisor for this event, Ms. Simra Najm stated that the students participated in this event with enthusiasm. Speaking on this occasion chairperson Prof. Dr. Shehnila Zardari encouraged the students to take part in extra curricular activities as these activities help them in honing their skills of critical analysis. Certificates and cash prizes were distributed among the winners.
